RESOURCES

JEOL 3100FFC

0.23 nm resolution, 300 kV field emission gun, high single tilt goniometer (+/- 70° tilt), liquid He cryo stage, typically used with liquid N maintaining the sample temperature at 85 K, in-column O-type energy filter, 4k x 4k decelerator camera, low dose imaging, tomography with SerialEM software.

JEOL 4000EX Side Entry

0.23 nm resolution LaB6 filament TEM, (+/- 60° single tilt) goniometer, room temperature and cryo-transfer stages, film and 2k x 2k Gatan camera, low dose imaging,

JEOL 4000EXII Top Entry

0.18 nm resolution LaB6 filament TEM, (+/- 22° double tilt) goniometer, room temperature holders.

JEOL 1200EX

0.45 nm-resolution tungsten filament TEM, typically 100kV but 60-120 kV capable, bright/dark field imaging, electron diffraction, high single tilt goniometer (+/- 60° tilt), with a 2K x 2K Gatan camera.

Phillips CM 200

0.25 nm 80-200 kV field emission gun, (+/- 60° single tilt) goniometer, room temperature, tomography and cryo-transfer stages, low dose imaging, Gatan tomography software.

Film Scanning Robot

Can scan several hundred individual micrographs without attention at a resolution of 6.35 microns per pixel. Films are fed into a Nikon CoolScan 9000 film scanner at a rate of one film per 3.5 minutes.
